The Gantt chart is very useful for showing date-time dependent schedules and event durations. Shown on the left is the most basic Gantt chart, with category names on the left, start/end data bars in the center, and optional annotations on the right. |

Each horizontal line can hold 1 of 4 data types - a header, a header plus data bar, a data bar, or a milestone. Data bars can be enhanced with optional symbols to accentuate the start and end, as well as optional duration markers and annotations. |

The Timeline mode shows all data points as Milestones. There are many Milestone shapes and formats to choose from. |
